About Checked Physics
Checked Physics is a study site for first-year university students who want clear physics explanations they can trust. Every article explains one idea in plain language, shows the formula, and works through an example step by step.
Who it’s for
The site is written for students moving through physics, from school-level courses such as GCSE, A level, IB and high-school physics up to first-year university. Where a topic is taught differently at school and at university, the article says so.
Who writes it
Articles are written by NBK, a pen name. I am an engineer with a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Mechanical Engineering. Mechanics, heat and energy are the areas I know best. When an article covers a topic outside those areas, I say so and point to the sources I relied on.
How articles are checked
Before an article is published, I recalculate every worked example by hand, compare each formula with a standard textbook or another reliable reference, and list those sources at the end of the article.I sometimes use AI tools to help draft or edit text. Every article is then rewritten, fact-checked and recalculated by me before publication. Each article shows the date it was last reviewed. If you find a mistake, please tell me through the Contact page, and I will correct it and update the review date.
What this site is not
Checked Physics is for learning. It is not a replacement for your course textbook, your lecturer, or your exam syllabus.
